About

Nicole Butera

certified breastfeeding specialist & founder

After a difficult birth with my first son and latching issues, I was ready to give up breastfeeding by his 3rd day of life.

Yup, 3RD DAY. It wasn't until my husband suggested pumping for "the time being" that led me to an exclusively pumping journey for one year! I learned so much and fell in love with all things lactation. With my second son's amazing birth, we had our fair share of issues like nursing strike, bottle refusal, eczema, this list goes on. But ultimately, a successful nursing experience that lasted a year by God's grace. These experiences led me to look further into the lactation field. Helping other mothers who have experienced the curiosity or emotional toll breastfeeding can have when not well equipped.

I founded The Milk Nest in 2022 to be a place of support, education, and encouragement. All judgement-free.

You will feel comfortable and right at home with encouragement and support whether you book a 1:1 or take one of my courses!

Thank you so much for being here!

Some fun facts about me:

  • Born in Peru (hablo español!) but raised most my of my life in Florida and still live here!

  • My husband is a quadruplet. (more about him really)

  • Jesus Christ saved my life.

  • I grew up with 10 cats.

  • Growing up I wanted to become an actress or police detective? (One or the other. No in between.)
